Visakhapatnam Port is one of the major ports in India, the port has three ports namely outer port, inner port and fishing port. The 200-hectare outer harbour has 6 berths and the 100-hectare inner harbour has 18 berths.
The outer port is equipped with deep-draft berths (ie general cargo berths), with a quay of 356 meters long, which can berth vessels with a draft of no more than 18.10 meters to handle imported coking coal and thermal coal. The berth can accommodate 200,000-ton ships, equipped with 3 loaders of 2,500 tons/hour (70,000 tons/day), a conveying system, and a stacker-reclaimer fast loading system.
Another mechanized terminal (EQ1) to handle thermal coal vessels operated by M/s Adani Vizag coal Terminal, which has a maximum draft of 14.50 meters and is equipped with two harbour mobile cranes capable of offloading 27,000 tons of cargo per day .
In March 2018, Genma designed the following scheme based on the customer's operational needs. For Genma's second-generation MHC products, the overall shape of the machine was optimized, and the modular walking mechanism was adopted, with stronger maneuverability. The whole machine can be bent in any radius. Move and even turn around.
The equipment parameters are as follows:

Applicable ship type: 7000~80000 DWT (bulk cargo), super-Panamax container ship (16 rows)
1. MHC can realize various operation modes by replacing the spreader, selecting hook, container spreader, grab mode, etc. to meet different functional requirements;

The standardized axle group can be freely transferred to realize the infield hoisting operation, which overcomes the limitations of the existing port equipment with single function and fixed operation area, and the standard trailer tires make users do not need to prepare special spare tires, which is economical and time-saving , the hydraulic buffering device of the standardized axle can avoid overloading of a single wheel group
3. When walking, the pressure of a single tire on the ground is reduced to 6.25t, and the actual wharf bearing requirements can be met by changing the size of the outrigger tray and the number of axle groups. The wharf does not need any rails, and the investment is low;
4. By optimizing the power control system, the optimal configuration of hoisting, luffing and turning speed can be realized, which can make full use of the power of the diesel engine and improve the loading and unloading efficiency;
